Member portal

Member portal software that members recognize as yours

Randel gives your members one place to sign in, keep their details current and take part in the life of the community - on your domain, with your logo and colors.

What is member portal software?

Member portal software is the member-facing side of a membership system: the place where members sign in to see their own information and take part. In Randel, the portal and the admin area share the same member profile, so when a member registers for an event, signs a document or casts a vote, your team sees it on that member's record without imports, exports or a second tool.

What you can do with Randel

Profile and details

Members keep their information current through a simple check-in flow, so your records and the directory stay accurate.

Plans and invoices

Membership plans and invoices are tied to each member, and dues and in-app charges are paid through your own Stripe account.

Event registration

Members register for in-person or online events, and registrations and check-ins land on their profile.

Documents to sign

Membership terms, contracts and regulations are sent for e-signature and stored on the member history.

Directory and introductions

Members find each other through the member directory, Explore and AI-suggested introductions, within the permissions you set.

Votes and decisions

Members included in a voting group take part in decisions, with transparent results and a clear voter list.

Why the member portal and the admin side should share one record

Many organizations run a member portal that is really a separate website: members log in to one place, while staff manage payments, events and documents somewhere else. Every change then has to be copied across, and the portal slowly drifts out of date.

In Randel there is only one member profile. What a member does in the portal becomes part of the history your team already works from, and what your team configures in the admin area is what members see. That makes the portal a working tool rather than a brochure.

  • A member registers for an event: the registration and later the check-in appear on their profile.
  • A member signs updated membership terms: the signed document is stored on their history.
  • A member takes part in a vote: the voter list shows it, and results stay trackable.
  • A member updates their details: the directory and your records show the same information.

What your organization configures before members sign in

A member portal only feels simple to members if the setup behind it matches the way your community works. Randel's implementation follows a scoped process, and the portal is shaped during the configuration stage.

  1. 1

    Brand and domain

Connect your custom domain and apply your logo, colors and language settings so the portal looks like your organization.

  2. 2

    Features and permissions

Choose which modules members use and set up groups and permissions for what each group can see.

  3. 3

    Plans and payments

Connect your Stripe account and create the membership plans, dues and charges members will see.

  4. 4

    Documents and events

Prepare the membership terms members need to sign and the first events they can register for.

  5. 5

    Member data and invitations

Migrate existing member data when needed, then invite members to sign in, with human support for your team along the way.

Questions to ask when comparing member portal software

Most membership systems advertise a portal, but they differ in how much of the member relationship the portal actually covers. These questions help separate a login page from a portal members will use.

  • Does the portal run on your own domain and brand, or on the vendor's?
  • Does member activity in the portal land on the same record as billing and documents?
  • Can you control what each group of members sees without custom development?
  • Does the vendor take a commission on dues or tickets paid through the portal?
  • Who helps your team when members have questions - people or a chatbot?
  • Who owns the member data, and where is it hosted?

Frequently asked questions

Do members need to download an app to use the portal?

No. Members reach the portal on your custom domain. If your community wants a native mobile app as well, publishing is available on request for a one-time US$ 2,000 fee.

Can we decide which areas of the portal each member sees?

Yes. Feature configuration decides which modules are switched on for your community, and permissions and groups decide what each group of members can access. A vote, for example, is only open to the members of its voting group.

Does the member portal show the Randel brand?

The member-facing product runs under your logo, custom domain and colors. The admin area your staff use may still mention Randel or G2F.

Is the member portal priced separately?

No. The portal is the member-facing side of the same platform. Pricing starts at US$ 200/month for up to 250 members, plus US$ 100/month for each additional 250-member block, and Randel takes no commission on member payments.
